Who we are

The Doula Collective was founded to close the gap between essential care and community access.

We saw families navigating pregnancy, birth, postpartum, lactation, and even the end of life without the support they deserve — and we saw care providers doing powerful work with limited visibility, community, and resources.

We created this nonprofit to bring it all together: a national, inclusive network where doulas and lactation consultant's can be found, supported, celebrated, and where families and individuals can access care that honors their unique needs, values, and identities.

We believe compassionate care is a human right — and The Doula Collective exists to uplift the professionals who provide it and the people who rely on it.

This is more than a directory. It’s a movement.

Our Core Values

  • We are committed to breaking down systemic barriers to doula care, centering marginalized communities, and promoting inclusive practices in all that we do.

  • We believe care should be rooted in trust, relationship, and connection. We cultivate spaces where doulas and families feel seen, supported, and valued.

  • We foster collective growth through partnership, shared knowledge, and mutual uplift—not hierarchy or gatekeeping.

  • We honor the diverse traditions, identities, and experiences that shape birth and parenting. We strive for ongoing learning and accountability.

  • We operate with honesty, consistency, and a deep respect for the trust placed in us by our members and the families we serve.

  • We believe in the transformative power of knowledge. We offer tools, training, and outreach to uplift doulas and empower informed choices for families.
